Once I unpacked it, I discovered that the remote, the window vent attachment, and the instruction booklet were all missing. This was obviously a return that Lowe's retaped and put the item back on the shelf. I then had to repack it, lug it back downstairs into my car and back to the store. The 3 stars are for good past experience. And they did the return without argument.
They can order everything you can imagine so don’t worry about that but if you like to see it/feel it before you buy you may want to check the website before you drive in. If you have the wherewithal to do your own installations on Lowes purchased products, I highly recommend going that route instead of dealing with their incompetent subcontractors. Neighborhood Lowe’s usually has everything I need. The staff, even though big box retailer, is much more helpful than their competition.

The third-party delivery and installation folks, however, are severely lacking. So this being said, this is the entire rubric on which I am basing my review. Lowes does what it is supposed to do, provide customers what they need, when they need it, and have it be delivered not broken or missing key components. Clearly, not everyone who works at this location has a handle on this concept, but I’m glad my issue was resolved by those employees who do understand the importance of consumer experience. This location is pretty big, with lots of items in stock. You’ll always come across a good deal on something every visit you make, you just have to keep an eye out for it.
But this time I had an annoying experience. I purchased a portable air conditioner. Drove it home, lugged it up to my second floor apartment.

Every single time I’ve been in this store, the staff has been super friendly and helpful. The store is neat, clean, and well stocked. When my local hardware store won’t do, this is where I’ll shop. I do go to this store quite often because it is close to me and it is always problematic. Checkout people never know the products in the store and god bless you if an item doesn't have a bar code. Staff can be difficult and confrontational at times.
For those not familiar with the area, there is a very convenient back entrance next to Kohl’s on West Chester Pike. For many, it’s easier than the main entrance on Township Line Road. Had I ever had to return due to customers rumaging through boxes or returning stuff broken. Feels strange to say that about such a big place) but they are actually smaller than most lowes.
Lowe’s in Havertown is the absolute worst store ever. Their inventory in store NEVER matches what their website says they have and the staff is completely incompetent. There’s a reason why people bypass this store and go to the Home Depot in Broomall or Ridley. Happy days are here as we now have a Lowe’s of our very own in town. It’s big and beautiful and well stocked.
One time staff member refused to wait on me. Store often has what I need but seldom help from staff you have to hunt them down. I find store is not customer friendly. I even complained to the CEO about this store and still it hasn't changed very much. This store needs a complete management overhaul with people who want to work with customers.
Two days in a row I called to make a $500.00 purchase, and two days in a row, no one answered the phone. I’ll go to Home Depot and see if they do. Please note times may vary due to seasonal opening hours and extended store trading times.
This is not a great Lowe's, but not the worst one ever either. Even allowing for recent supply chain difficulties, too many things are out of stock (or mis-shelved) for too long. Staffing is inconsistent - sometimes plenty of help, sometimes far too little. I have had items delivered from the store before and it takes multiple tries to get things right.
No one let us know that we were not going to receive our refrigerator and the store staff was not helpful figuring out why we did not receive our refrigerator. The delivery company was able to give us the story of why we didn’t get the refrigerator today. This is not the level of service we expect from a Lowe’s. I went back into Lowe’s and was helped again by Jason who was able to answer my questions regarding the missing pieces and how to correct the situation. The garden section is filled with a great variety of seasonal vegetables plant and ornamental plants. Their collection is so huge to explore that you have to spent plenty of time to choose from your desired item.
